NEED COLOR HELP Ladies please (guys too)

Hello everyone,

Im real close to ordering a custom Marinoni frame, im all measured and the tech details are worked out But Im having a bear of a time figuring out the color, actually the letter coloring.

here is the link to the marinoni website http://www.marinoni.qc.ca/Html/Colors.html

I originally was going with Shogun green but I know id get tired of a real bright color after awhile.

I lobbied a bunch of non cyclist friends and it seems that most votes went to Platine.

the hard part is what color for the letters/graphics?? out of the group I surveyed the most artsy fartsy of my female friends (one is a interior decorator , my aunt) said if the Platine was the same color as the website photo SILVER would look great. 4 out of 6 said silver (if the platine was as the photo shows.)

but it may be lighter???? the 2007 paint chip was lighter. the shop is checking with the factory. if its lighter and silver wont show well (I dont mind subtle) if silver wont work would white or black be a better choice?? or go with Bonzai green and white or ?? as a last ditch Neutral color choice?

I do like the dark colors but they show every scratch and get hot in the summer.

Many thanks need to make a descision soon

happy spinning

John

Platine : if its same as web site silver black or white?? depends on if same tone as website

bonzai: silver black or white??

shogun green: black or white??

my cross check right now is dark green its ok but a tad dark. I know its just a bike but I have to live with it for a long time.

BTW my saddle is brooks honey and fenders with leather flaps. this bike is the commute /long distance bike . black tubus rack, black wheels, black schmidt hub,
black spokes black carradice and ortlieb bags.

many thanks

Sabra or Des Green. First off, there are not many dark green road bike, but there are a billion silver ones. I'm sorry, that color is too close to silver to be anything other than silver. Get a paint chip of that British Green as well. It looks black in that picture, but I'm sure it's actually a rich dark green. Go with the silver lettering.

I'm sorry but silver bikes are boring as hell. My cyclocross frame is silver and black. Well "plutonium" which is just a darker silver. My Keith Anderson is dark green and a kind of yellow brown like that "pine" color and it looks awesome with the brooks saddle and natural cork bar tape.

Out of that list I'd take shogun. Bonzai is too plain and Platine is just ugly. I'm partial to the medium blue myself.

I think the shogun is on the table again.

Med blues are nice but I have a blue bike My beloved 1992 Falcon road bike is a nice blue and white.

Im now re visting my first pick

Shogun with silver letters or a Black M and the rest silver that will give me 2 colors for the graphics.

too many choices...

many thanks
