I am only 26 and still have a VCR. I bought a bunch of tapes as I was in HS and when I got out because even the best movies were only about $10. The quality isn't as bad but if I cared that much, I probably wouldn't ever go outdoors anyway and there would be no reason to post in a cycling forum.

You have a point there.

I think Foo will eventually rebound. But....with a little luck... cycling season is just around the corner for many of us and we won't be spending as much time indoors on our computers. I for one will likely be relocating to NEw Mexico very soon and I'm not sure how long I'll be without internet when that happens.

But trust me on this...FOO will survive and continue to be one of the best parts of Bike Forums.

You know, I'm not entirely certain. But I believe that the MERTON is indeed larger than a breadbox.

Definitely larger than a breadbox. Umm....unless someone cut him up into many smaller pieces. Hmmm.....maybe that explains Merton's absence.

Rule 1: things change

Rule 2: refer to rule 1

Rule 1 is now Rule 3. The new Rule 1 is that there are no rules in Foo.

hehe, you know when I go out searching for this specifically (and I have) - I find an OK kinda thing to use but it's not what I want. Go out and search for things that have seemingly no connection - or get drawn into a blog that has a potential pic and BWAM!

Good stuff!

and yes, I have too used the duct-tape (Shop bandaid) - works too! Even lasts thru a wet ride home.

For the moment...I think a lot of people are finally breaking out of the snow and getting out and riding. After they get that out of their system, things will start to pick up again.

I know the bicycling forum Tude is referring to, and in particular what was supposed to be the Love-ly part of it. It ended up being anarchy, with puppets being put up by very nasty people who went out of their way to take advantage of low levels of moderation to run riot. It was really quite disgusting both in terms of language and denigration/destruction of people's integrity. The excuse was: "It's just an anonymous internet forum", but unforunately, that feeble excuse simply doesn't ring true anymore.

Despite what a lot of people here might think, Foo was heading in exactly the same direction. Except, the perpetrators decided to direct their venom at the moderators. Frankly, I feel more inclined to post here now than I ever did before. Decent people encourage that. Ramaging imbeciles don't.

FWIW, I had regard for Portis thoughts until he decided to blot himself black by siding with the anarchists here.
