What happend on 04-07-05 at 07:05 AM.

This was just a little before my time, but what was going on? There were 14,989 people logged on to BF at 7 in the morning. Is this like a server glitch that logged everybody on or was something really crazy happening?

8 days before my time, so I can only guess.

I am gonna say it was the result of whimsy and happenstance.

6 days before I came aboard.

It was probably everyone trying to get away from me. It didn't work.

Was that when the al-qaeda hijack of bikeforums.com happened? I think there's some detail on Joe's blog about it

edit: the hijack was 2002 or earlier - http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60490

Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!

I know Yahoo search bots use to tear websites a new a-hole. They fixed that bug. That could be the reason for that.

I bet it was when the U-lock/Bic pen thing broke. I think BF got a bunch of press for it, and probably got linked on the front page of some news site right about then.

If that's day-month-year (like many Euros write it), then it was July 4, 2005--American independence and 3rd day of the 2005 TdF.

I would only assume that it was the digg affect. Has anything on this site been featured on digg?
