Peer to Peer Lending

Does anyone here have experience using one of the peer to peer lending sites such as Lending club, or prosper?

I am considering it for some small time invetment diversification- like a new bike small time, but regardless, Thought I would come here to the all knowing Bikeforums for investment advice

What kind of returns did you receive?
Did you find it as an acceptable means to diversify your holdings?
Was it too time consuming to do properly?
