Lance is already out swinging the love commando while Kristen is raising three children, how nice.

This wreaks of a tabloid publication full of $hit. But if it is correct then it is pretty sorry. At least let the dust settle before sliding into a new squeeze. Maybe Kristen will find a man who will put family first the next time around.

I feel ya, Sam.

Seriously, he seems to make this big "I'm sorry" about how he's gotten so carried away by Hollywood, now if the publications are true, then he's totally into it- and that's probably why he couldn't handle having a normal relationship with a normal woman. And yuck! If he was involved with her when he was putting together his charity rides, that means that not only is he a schmuck for changing women faster than he changes his underwear, but Sandra is a big 'ole homewrecker too.

Two snaps down, points lost for coolness here. I seriously don't think much of Lance as a family man if this is true, although I still admire his athletic skills.

I hope his ex finds a grounded man that can set a good example for her kids- I don't think Lance is doing very well in that department.

I like Lances cycling but do not approve of his family focus or lack thereof.

There are way too many kids out there who take a back seat to careers or personal selfishness on the part of the parent.

One or two parents working to make the money it takes to live, deal with the daily barrage of BS, and raise kids have my respect. A multi millionaire who cannot settle for the family he made is a bit below the level of garbage in the respectability department.

How many of us here have lived a perfect life in such that we can critcize what someone else decides to do?

How right is it for us to lay our standards on Mr. Armstrong?

By that ideal, we should all put the same effort into our health, i.e. diets, exercise, etc?

It's preferable if our role model (so to speak) would be a better image, but he is, as we are, human, and subject to the same shortcomings we all are.

It's easy to be a critic.

Where in the article does it say he abandoned the kids? It says he and his wife divorced and he is seeing someone else. So what?

This simplistice Holier Than Thou attitude that is constantly cropping up on these forums without the slightest bit of fact to back it up is demeaning to these forums. As supposed thinking persons, you should all be ashamed for jumping to conclusions that are not corrobroted.

My guess is that this attitude (regarding this particular issue) comes from individuals in terrible relationships that they stuck with "for the kids". Now, whether this was actually better for the kids is debatable. However, since they decided that this route was the best route for them, they have also decided that this route is the best choice for everyone else.

They suffered, and you shouldn't get away with any other choice regardless of your circumstance.

You people are right. Lance is just human. Oh well. Twiddle de dee, twiddle de dum.

I guess this should be our attitude towards responsibility in life and carrying through with commitments we make with our spouses, children, or anyone else for that matter.

Family is and should always be top priority to all of us who have kids. The only exception to this rule is an abusive or violent atmosphere where children are exposed to foul behavior which will damage them.

I've yet to see you poo poo everyone who gets a divorce.

Sometimes people realize that things are going sour, and get a divorce prior to things getting abusive or violent.

Not everyone has our standards....

And I won't. There are definitely circumstances that will justify divorce. I just can't see where this is one of them. My gut tells me this is all selfish nonsense that ultimately puts three beutiful children in a back seat regardless of how "hard" daddy works to make it seem not.

But being concerned about the example set for the kids seems to be a non issue with many people.

Thatís a fair enough statement if applied to you, and your relationship. So let me ask the obvious question - how do you know about LA's relationship? The truth is that none of us can know what happens in anyone's relationship. Therefore, nobody has the right to question any specific couple.

You also don't have the right to apply your code of morals to others. Morality is self-chosen, and should be applied to oneself - not others. That's the simple point that seems to somehow get lost on many.

I doubt LA even knows what a real relationship is Bac. But I do care about the impression he makes on the kids. They are ultimately being put in a back seat regardless of how you justify it.

I will stop attacking your hero now. Enough has been said to express my personal feelings on this subject. But listening to you all one would think it illegal to express an opinion. Especially one of clean, sound values.

I think Bac is right, We dont know LA's personal life. SO they man has a divorce and he cant go to dinner with someone he likes? How much can you trust this paper that is saying this stuff too? I live in Austin and they follow LA and Sandra Bullock because they both live here, and this is the first time i have heard anything about it. I think everyone needs to chill out and let him go to dinner. I dont see how him getting with a new girl can make him a bad father in any way shape or form. Sorry just dont seem him doing anything wrong, maybe not considerate but definetly not wrong.

Actually I was replying to Bac. I think you have been rather cool about the whole debate. More than me, but perhaps I let myself get carried away.

Perhaps I would receive a warmer response by saying I am just jealous that I am not the one sniffing up Sandra's skirt. Since the details of ones morality is a choice there should be nothing wrong with that.
