Recently?

ACtually, I'm dealing with sciatica that has gotten progressively worse over the last six or seven years, not necessarily helped nor hurt by riding little kid's bikes on ZooBomb.

Recently I found a new drug, tramadol, which is a synthetic derivative of codeine, that works pretty well. Previously I had been using Tylenol 3 or Canadian ACC. Opiates used to be cool when I only took them occassionally for recreational purposes; needing them regularly for actual pain is a whole 'nother story...

Can you beat your sarcastic coworkers in bike races and post obscure unrelated thoughts beforehand?

Codeine gives you constipation.

Nyquil does the opposite.

Both are conditions to be avoided as far as I am concerned .

I've found the oxy family to be the best for pain. Not the kind of thing you should be on regularly though.

Sounds like the obvious answer is to take both at once. Double the pain relief, cancel out the side-effects!

Just had some dental surgery. Tried oxycodone for a week and it didn't do much for me. Tylenol 3 w/codeine did absolutely nothing. Then I got some meprodine (sp?) and became happily comatose. Up to this point in my life, alcohol was my only point of reference for anesthesia and I've come to realize there is some seriously scary chemicals out there.

Sure, except there aren't any cool codeine related songs.

Covered by Tim Kerr's Poison 13 and other bands.

Plus there's also a band named Codeine.

Take some codeine and some adderall, then you have a cheap and somewhat legal speedball. Now there is a party.

Did you know that the natural opiate derivatives are all converted to morphine once they cross the blood brain barrier. In effect they are all delivery systems for morphine.

The liver does that...but semantics i guess.

Poppy plants contain two psychoactive opiates, codeine and morphine. Codeine is broken down into morphine by enzymes excreted by the liver. Morphine is what crosses the BBB.
