That too bad, the Yukon has always been one of my favorite cars. If there is a defect, I hope it gets fixed soon.

heh. I have to agree with that one.

Some people love them tho. Seems to be part of the doctor/lawyer's wife package.

    1.) Marry doctor/lawyer.
    2.) ????
    3.) Get SUV.

I don't mean to be an arse, I live on the border of the "nice" side of town and when I do my lunchtime ride, all I see are middle-aged women driving huge SUV's.

    Umm...generally cars don't spontaneously explode.

And full-size SUV's are not an uncommon target for vandals.

    I'm thinking arson.

On the side topic of doctor's wives driving gigantic shiny SUV's that never leave asphalt:

That theory doesn't really work in an area where the majority of the population drives SUVs

There are two cookie cutter SUVs where I live. The Lexus RX 300, which is pretty much a station wagon with a higher ground clearance, and Chevy Suburbans.

I wouldn't mind the hybrid package that supposedly is coming out in the '09 model year giving Tahoes and their pickups 30 mpg, but I'll see if that actually comes out. Chevy already tried a hybrid full size pickup earlier this decade, no real dice.
