They need to find these people and infect them with something bad that cannot be cured or passed on.

I have to put a little blame on those admins though - most boards are set up not to allow javascript or even html in posts. For a epilepsy board I'd surprised they even allow embedded images.

That is pretty effed up though

a little blame, unfortunately it is so easy to make a bbs site now a days the completely uneducated can do it with ease. This creates a natural level of administrative ignorance which is really only taught mistake by mistake...

Those kids are still jackasses though, but 20 to 1 they didn't even realize the extent of the damage they could cause. They likely just figured you give them a headache etc, without even realize the potential damage it can do.

They're pretty pissed off about this on the board where it happened, and justifiably so.

Yeah, this is a pretty lousy thing to do. I'm epileptic myself (fortunately this isn't a trigger for me) and I do go to the boards where this happened from time to time. I can't find this thread - I'd have been surprised if I could have - but they did have notices up this morning not to use flashing emoticons.

Edit: Link is broken, not sure why.

I get the impression its an unorganized group of folks, and a big part of it seems to be against the Church of Scientology. Anyone else know more about them?

I hear so much about them, like when thousands were getting the latest harry potter book, they went on a loud speaker and told everyone the story line, or ruined the surprise or something. And what is the church of Scientology?

They usually are more political. There is discussion about them in P&R, to be honest, I am shocked they stopped so low.

Hollywood church more or less. Tom Cruise is the main face for the publicity behind the church now. (at least on tv)

Not really a "Hollywood" Church. (I won't go into the details of my opinion of the organization suffice to say I'm opposed to them) They've got a stronghold here in Clearwater, FL.

Quote:
According to this story, 75 million years ago Xenu brought billions of people to Earth in spacecraft resembling Douglas DC-8 airliners, stacked them around volcanoes and blew them up with hydrogen bombs. Their souls then clustered together, stuck to the bodies of the living and continue to do this today. Hubbard called these clustered spirits "Body Thetans," and advanced-level Scientologists place considerable emphasis on isolating these alien souls and neutralizing their ill effects.

Just because someone is anonymous doesn't mean they're Anonymous.

What a horrible prank to pull. I went to school with a boy who had a couple of epileptic seizures in class. It was awful to witness and the kid was exhausted and in pain afterwards.

No I understand that, but it was the quickest explanation without getting into it. I call it hollywood due to the endless faces that are part ofit.
