    First wine making adventure

I just picked up my first wine making kit.
I`m super excited because as I write this, my oak chips are soaking and I have just added the bentonite and concentrate to the water (distilled)...next comes yeast, a ten minute wait, add the oak and then the waiting game begins!
    mmmmm....shiraz.

seriously confused. Why are you adding bentonite at this stage? Bentonite is a fining agent and is used to help clear the wine after fermentation is completed.

Making wine is fun. Back when I was broke, I used to make all sorts of terrible concoctions. For those desiring heartburn to accompany their hangover, my "tea wine" couldn't be beat. The stuff was dang cheap -- it cost less than 60 cents a gallon to make.

If I can collect enough blackberries, my fiancee will make blackberry wine again. We've been saving the last bottle for a while now.
