Muppets

In honor of the slow day on Foo, I decided to start a thread.
So, I'm sitting at my desk wondering just what to do here.
Then it hits me...muppets, everyone loves muppets.
So, who's your favorite muppet, and why.

I'll start...beaker. He reminds me of a frat brother in college. All the way down to the red hair and funny noises.

I have a serious dislike for muppets. Not really sure why. Bert and Ernie, Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch I can tolerate. Only the Old School late 60's, early 70's muppets get this pass from me. All new muppets must die

Oscar. Because he just wants his trash and wants everyone else to just go away. No pretense about liking anyone else (well, except for Slimy). Just a good old fashioned curmudgeon

It's true. Mr. Hooper was the most realistic looking Muppet ever created by Jim Henson.

And if you don't remember Mr. Hooper, then you're probably under the age of 32 or so. He was cool.

My fave. Frank Oz is an expert puppeteer- none more so than when performing Fozzie.
I've always thought Fozzie moved in a more natural, human-like way than any other muppet.

Big Bird is pretty cool, too. He's very articulate for a muppet.

Great thread. I happened to get my dad a DVD box set of the first season of the Muppet Show for Xmas. Good times.

Might seem boring, but I always liked Kermit. Always in the middle, the guy is a rock. Carried both Sesame Street and the Muppet Show.

And he's the only muppet to ride a bike:
