Awww, how cute

Tiny teenager from India is smallest girl in the world

14 years old. 1 foot 11 inches tall.

OK, who's gonna set her up with this handsome stud?

Gah, it took me a second. I saw the picture first, and wondered why there was a picture of five teenage girls. Then I read the text. "What? They're all the same si--OH MY GOD."

That's pretty amazing.

I am just a-freakin amazed at how size perfect she is. She is soo small.

I work with several students who are - not sure how to say - size challenged - and prefer little people - but actually prefer to be treated like every other human being who enters the office - including walking up to the front desk or my desk behind that area with a "receptionist" kinda greeting area kinda wall and I can sometimes not see the person talking. Not pleased about that (my office area) and will be working on changing that.

While the person/people I am talking too seems unphased by it (to me) - I'm not pleased. And this includes paraplegics as well - sigh, always trying to upgrade and help. But I do have to say - most of the people who ... have to deal with dealing with the world from a lower vantage point, etc - are some of the more focused and forgiving peeps I've run into.

Cool people and my office will be changing this next year.

I saw something on CNN today (I was forced, against my wishes, to watch it), but anyways, there was this story about a baby that was born with 2 complete faces. What is up with DNA screwing up in India?

All of the shorter people I have known wanted nothing more than to be talked to and treated like everyone else. When I saw that picture, my reaction wasn't "awwwwww", but rather that I bet she's sick and tired of being treated differently. But I read the article, and I see she loves the attention. That's convenient.
