Nothing against Red Stars, as I obviously have one, but why is anyone getting them anymore now that the site is an Internet Brand?

Back in the day financially supporting the board by buying a red star meant knowing the mom'n'pop organization (Joe) was getting the money and using it to keep the board going.

What is Internet Brands doing with the $25? The same thing, I hope.

I guess it's nice to not see the ads, but the whole principle behind getting a red star seems to have shifted.

Just curious.

I would be happy to have my red star invisible. Not as happy as I am to not see the ads, mind you. But I would check that option if it were available.

You don't have to have the red star be visible, but then you would see the ads.

There's actually a user group for those who've donated, but like to see the ads .
