Stupid, Stupid, Stupid....

I need the collective wisdom of Foo on this one.

I have three friends whom I'll call Betty, Veronica, and Jughead. Betty and I used to date, but now we're really good friends, and Veronica and Jughead are married. Betty and Veronica are best friends and Jughead and I are friends as well. While I was dating Betty, I started sleeping with Veronica. Call me what you will; it's nothing I haven't called myself because of this. I've heard a lot of people mention cheating situations and how they wish they new or they wish their friends had said something, and I can understand wanting to know, but in this case, all that would end up happening is a divorce and an all-around loss of friendships. Nothing good will come from telling Betty and Jughead, other than the truth being out.

Is truth so important that it's worth what this would cost?

They way I see it, a mass grave and a goodbye message on an etch a sketch are your only outs.

Questions:
1. Were Veronica and Jughead married at the time?
2. Is this all in the past?

I wouldn't have done that - but if I had, I wouldn't volunteer the information. If Veronica wants to tell Jughead, that's her choice.

V is keeping the secret too.

No sense in bringing it up now.

Unless your intention is to blow up J and V's marriage and hope that V runs to you in gratitude. (which won't happen)

Have you stopped?

Truth ignored does not cease to exist. It will come out sooner or latter.

Is this starting to bother you now, after it being two years ago? Why the sudden thoughts of this?

Why are you contemplating the truth now? What can be gained from it? What can be lost from it? What is your goal in terms of coming out with the confession?

At this point, Veronica has a lot more to lose than you.

If it is only to make yourself feel better, forget it.
It now is really between Veronica and Jug.

Leave it alone.

You could always post your secret on the Moon, if it would make you feel better.

Good thing Veronica didn't marry Reggie. Jughead is a pushover. Reggie would gladly kill you.

If this is just to get over your own guilt then leave it alone.

Don't be selfish and ruin a good(?) relationship that V and J have. No good will come of this, as you have mentioned yourself.

Unless of course you are all swingers and a foursome is inevitable.

Shuttup, shuttup shuttup.

If that fails, deny deny deny.

its not worth it, not worth it, NOT WORTH IT.

Shes prolly smoking hot, it was worht it. If she loves him she wont tell, if your ex and her are good friends, she already knows and will take it to the grave. if your conscience bothers you, turn to drink, but for the love of god shut up and never EVER bring it up to any of them.

trust an immoral idiot, ive been through such situations, and silence till death is the easiest.

keep it to yourself. the only thing that is gained from telling people is that you feel better for getting the guilt off of your chest. you did the crime.. you have to live with the consequences. let sleeping dogs lie.
