My new office... :)

Still working on tidying the yard o' bikes...

Our bike trailers...

The main tool bench and drawers...

A view of the shop...

Another view...

My workspace... and where I park my bike.

Our old Hozan truing stand.. it scares the newbs but I like it.

SIU - We have quite a few models of Park stands from the collapsible PCS 9's(we do a lot of off site repair clinics), quite a few PRS 3's, a much older Park stand that I don't know the model number of and a Park PRS4W wall mounted stand. All in all I think we have 7 or 8 and they are most often all full when the shop is open.

We are probably one of the oldest and best equipped bike co-ops in North America and have every tool imaginable... there are some things that are mechanic only that we keep stored upstairs in the office / lounge like precision measuring tools, taps, dies, facing tools, etc.

Our stock of old parts is fairly immense and our parts room is filled to the brim with all kinds of cool stuff from modern parts to things that go back to the 30's and 40's... I had no trouble finding a wheel for my old Rudge today.

We go to our summer hours next Monday and will be open 7 days and 2 nights a week just so we can keep up with the work... besides being our shop it is a major social hub for cyclists here.

So... they are actually going to pay me to work on bikes.

Somebody pinch me.

Holy zombie thread...

I still volunteer at the co-op when the body allows and it is looking better than ever... and damn I miss that old Rudge sometimes.

My new shop is a little smaller and a little more crowded but it is only 32 steps from my back door.

And if anyone wonders about that Celeste frame in this picture... it found a new home.

I like working in both spaces... the co-op tends to get insanely busy and I am usually helping customers and coaching our volunteers while my shop is a peaceful little place where there is usually a little jazz on the radio and coffee is at the ready.

Unless I am working on French bikes... that usually involves hammering and swearing.

As Bob Barker would say... higher.

What are hand built touring wheels and NOS XTR 8 speed bits worth these days ?

You know that now you will have to find Siu a white bike in a 50-52 cm frame now... my Trek is probably a little too tall for her.
