Anyone know anything about car speakers and subs?

I want to get a cap because all my electronics flux if I have the bass too high or music too loud. I don't know what kind to get or how to even connect it. Help please? I have 2 1000w subs and a 800w amp.

Subs are designed to stay underwater for weeks at a time. I could tell you a lot about them, but much of what I know is classified.

Let me just add that subs are great cuz you get to mess around in class cuz its not your real teacher. And yes subs from every place that sells sub sandwiches are good. Now. Back on track..

If your bass is "too high" then either its amp is set too high or you're on drugs. If the music is too loud, tell the band to tone it down. And I'm not sure, but is having a full band in your car illegal?

lol you guys are all a-holes. Just kidding. But when I say bass too high, I mean drowning out the treble with the bass. And no I don't believe having a full band in your car is illegal. As long as they are all wearing seat belts.

Da hell are you talking about?

It's a pretty safe bet he's talking about an EQ'ed car stereo.

They sell 15 farad, it's ridiculous... but whatever you get, make sure you have the right kind of amp. The knobs should go up to 11. If it doesn't go up to 11, it's not loud enough.

It's true.

my 1700W amp has a boost controller that goes to 11.

get another amp for your highs, if your driving those speakers with the head unit it'll flux as you say. Make sure your crossovers/ gains are set to your liking , problem solved

if the headlights dim a cap will be needed.
