Shanghai is well away from the epicenter of the quake, so probably very inconvenienced, but unhurt.

That does make me feel better, Jsharr. But you know how that guy never can stay in one place.

WOW - since I moved - my reading the newspaper is limited and I haven't been watching the news faithfully as was the norm before --- I had NO idea this was that bad!!!

Hey, all — I'm fine, but thanks for thinking of me . Shanghai is indeed very far from the epicentre, and I barely felt the quake at all. It really looks like a terrible mess in Sichuan province, though. My work (cover story!) and life in general have kept me from Foo and other random browsing, so that explains my absence. Now, back to work again! Will check in later...

Hope all are well, and thanks again.

Glad to hear that you are well out of trouble there. Congratulations on the cover story.

I hope people there can get aid, so life can get back to normal for those in that province. I just got family to donate to a relief charity today for this, and the cyclone.
