How else would I get to work?

I have a hard time doing it because between where I live and where I have to go there is a big ong steep incline, known as "the hill". Even roadies in full kits have a hard time doing it. If they dare...

I tried it once (never again) and it's just too dangerous. There are no bike lanes at all and I was getting blown off the road by the force between me and the big rigs. And to the right there is a far drop...

I decided I'm going to start AFTER the hill. Gotta hitch a ride there. But I'm doing it!

Nu-uh, not me, nope ---- I'm taking tomorrow off from the daily grind of commuting in protest of having more bicycles on the road. Dam it, I had to do the head nod/wave about 20 times yesterday, my neck is sore! And I have to go faster now! Competitive Tude cannot handle looking back in mirror and seeing new bicyclist coming up fast behind me ------ kick it into overdrive and zoom off - then pull off into a parking lot sounding like a freight train as I catch my breath. Nooooo alll these new bicycling peeps are causing me stress and strain !!!

    BAH, HUMBUG!!

I have seen exactly 0 new commuters this week. Considering I only see a handful anyway, noobs are easy to spot. All the noobs are up in Cleveland where they can all ride with groups downtown and get free coffee.

This is the guy that fired you? Hmm. Tell him you might have a seizure and might spill gatorade on someones expensive bike.

It's amateur day! This will be the first one in about three years I will actually ride in. As a year round commuter I like to take one day off from riding. It might as well be the day everybody thinks I should ride. I hate being told what to do

I am watching it at my 6 yr old's school, counting the bikes. And then uh biking to work as usual. There were 15 bikes and a scooter there Tuesday, as a control.

Yes, tomorrow I'm riding to work.

Hopped on the scale today and had a little 15 lb surprise.

I packed a bag with several day's worth of clothes and we'll see if I can stick with it longterm. Wish me luck

    Nope. Three reasons:

    1) Friday is my cross-town facility meeting day so I use Fridays to drive in and re-stock my locker for the next week.

    2) B2W Day brings a lot of JAC's (more than usual) onto the roads, which means a lot of irate drivers.

    3) I'm doing a 200Km ride on Saturday so I'm taking Friday as a zero day.

I work from home, so I guess I could ride my bike around the living room. That won't go over well with the rest of the family, but I'd have a great laugh.
