time to go to mechanical keyswitch keyboard?

so, i spent $40 on this keytronic lifetime keyboard and after about 4 months or so the D key has started to get stiff and sticky. so, is it time for a unicomp board? $60 for a board is a lot IMO... but i'm tired of killing boards.. so...

Sounds like you're spending too much.

I've been using the same cheap Dell keyboard for 7 years. Even the WASD area seems perfectly fine. The basic Microsoft and Logitech keyboards seem pretty decent, too.

Either that or you're particularly abusive. The days of mechanical typewriters are over.
