Weekend plans, Tell me dems

Fri - Swim, actually flounder really. I did swim one full length the other day. Birthday party
Sat - Easy spin outside if the weather lets up. Hit the gym. Hit town
Sun - 5K race in the morning. Bike ride in the afternoon. Ruminate the fact that one has to go back to work on monday.

Cool. What distance tri? I am learning to swim here all in hopes of a couple of sprint and Olympic distance tris this year. I got a good ways to go though. My iron game is suffering with all the swing changes but my driver swing is back!

Ho Ho my fellow BFers - I now have three day weekends starting tomorrow thru mid August! (eh, course I work 1.25 hrs extra Mon-Thurs - no problem) ------ and so weekend started today!

Tonite: Had a nice #1 date with guy, think date #2 has potential.
Friday am: Putting about 40-50 non-pushing miles on the roadie. Just get out and let 'er go I say ...
Friday pm: clean house
Sat am: Do volunteer duty with city as part of my charity ride that goes off the next day) - However instead of cleaning off graffiti - I will be handing out water.
Sat pm: Cooking for Mom - yep - Mom is coming over to where I live for the first time - and eating some most awesome filets (or actually - me a porterhouse - vewy waw - and Mom with a med-well filet)
Sun am: 50 plus charity ride with a party that follows. 4 legs in the route, 2nd leg is the most challenging - and I most likely expect the sky to be raining on me too.

eh. I'll still look good in my jersey.

It is just a sprint. The pressure is on though - we've got gold the last 5 or 6 years. It isn't really fun anymore, just stressful now... Doing a sprint tri later in the summer that I'm looking forward to. I'd like to do an Olympic distance, but I hate to run, and had no motivation to train over the winter, so it will have to wait.
