Sort of underground music you like

Can you guys tell me some underground or sort of underground music you like? What I mean is in any given group of people they typically have not heard the music? I'm not one of those people who likes a band just for that reason I just need something new that I probably haven't heard before.

Sorry, if I told you, they could get popular, sell out and lose all underground cred.

Yeah I used to hate Indie kids because that summed most of them up. I am the type of person listening to Hoku or Britney Spears one song then moving on to Fugazi, Motorhead, The Pixies, Von Bondie etc in the next song on my ipod. As long as it sounds good I really don't care what other people think I will even bust out some Enya or some hardcore rap like Ghetto Boys

    Punk rock man:

    Chixdiggit!
    Teenage Bottlerocket
    7 Seconds
..and other bands I'm too tired to think of right now.

Well this probably isn't what you were thinking, but if the main criteria is that you've never heard it before, then I suggest listening to the most gorgeous music on the planet, which is pretty much anything by Marisa Monte, especially when in collaboration with Carlinhos Brown.

Magamalabares - Marisa Monte and Carlinhos Brown

Maria de Verdade - Marisa Monte (written by Carlinhos Brown)

Bem Que Se Quis - Marisa Monte

Busy Man - Carlinhos Brown with Marisa Monte

For underground music there is only the Great stalacpipe organ or lithophone in the Luray Caverns of Virginia. Not only is it the largest musical instrument in the world it has unique tonal qualities. Records of the music were available at The Museum of Jurassic Technology in the LA area. Yes "Virginia" I knew what you really ment. Be careful with the term Underground when near a Mining Engineer.

    Descendants
    Velvet Underground (they DEFINED punk)
    Groovie Ghoulies
Lagwagon (superior drumming, at least for punk music)

    Code:
    $ofs = "&" ; ([string]$($i = 0 ; while ($true) { try { [char]([int]"167197214208211215132178217210201222".substring($i,3) - 100) ; $i =

A couple I listen to that aren't widely played on radio as far as I can tell... Don't know that I'd call them underground though.
