No. A McLaren F1 is most certainly not a Corvette.

Also, all the cool kids trim quotes!

Not quite the same, but... it's good to be back in a Miata, isn't it?

I've only gotten to drive one for a couple minutes at a Zoom-Zoom Live marketing event, but it was a highly entertaining couple of minutes. If I didn't need the space inside my '02 Civic hatch, I'd probably have a Miata.

It's pretty damn close.
Love the Miata. God it's a nimble car. It has a tighter turning radius than my Xtracycle (xtracycle can carry more though).

I like my GTO. I was going to get an '06 Mustang GT, but the dealer wouldn't come down on the price on the car I wanted. I ended up getting this one for $5k under the sticker price. It came with a nicer interior, 100 more horsepower, and a 6 speed instead of the 5 speed. What's more, it cost 20% less to insure (go figure).

My 1980 MG. Imported from Japan, where the last 250 were sold (the very last one was kept by BL iirc).

I just got back from kicking tires at a local car lot, and they had one of these on consignment. I'd never seen one before (except in pictures), and all I can tell you it was one mesmerizing beautiful sled.

>shrug< so?

I just saw the car about an hour ago, and I thought it was stunning. You, mebbe not. Don't care - I loved the classic lines. Sort of like the old 911's - a very timeless and distinctive silhouette.

Oh, ouch. I like the 911 because Porsche has never marketed that design as another model, but Aston is using the same basic design and calling it something else.

(I actually own an '81 911)

I get'cha...... I don't have the perspective you do, and as I said today was the first time I'd ever seen one. But I still think it is a beautiful car.

BTW - I've got an '84

Speaking of which - the 996's are wonderful cars, and I may buy one. But it's too bad Porsche went away from the classic 911 styling and opted to make the 996 look like a Honda. It's nice to see the newer 997's at least have a hint of the old-school headlight nacelles, but I really think they made a significant mistake by tinkering with the coach-works so radically. They sure do drive well though, and the airconditioning and cockpit appointments are a huge improvement. The older, air cooled ones like yours and mine are still much more a "driver's" car, but the overall improvment and comfort cannot be denied.

thats right! when the fit/jazz came out in america, it was already an old car. tried and trued. thats why it only ran 2 years before being revamped.

Yeah, I think the 993's were the last of the updated original styling. The 996 looked like a pig but I'm pretty impressed with the styling of the 997.
