Only the peasants the elite could get it at the peasants expense but I like where you are going with it.

One of my favorite bike rides was from the German border to Mulhouse, France to the French National Automobile Museum. Over 200+ Bugattis (including TWO Type 41's) and numerous other European classics. http://www.collection-schlumpf.com/en/schlumpf/

I must have made that trip 4 or 5 times. I've got boxes of Kodachrome slides of them but alas I don't feel like digging them out. Picture gallery at:

Ferrari 500 Superfast. Only 36 of these cars were ever built and only 34 remain. They were produced from 1963 through 1966.

If I had $600,000 of disposable income, I would make getting one of these rare and beautiful cars a top priority. They show up for auction from time to time. The last one sold at Christie's went for $475,000 US I believe.

(Now the Mercedes sedan with the Porsche front end plastered on, that thing is awful.)

Hopefully!

The Elise is a powerful-ugly creature, but drive the **** out of one I would in a heartbeat.

I'd like to take one for a spin, but to own in that price range I find myself attracted to bigger cars with hatchbacks and turbo fours. Made by Fuji Heavy Industries.

An Elise could run with an STi and get better fuel economy. Ugly as snot, but they are purpose built cars and look it.
