This is gorgeous. Alfa Romeo Disco Volante. Italian for Flying Saucer. I highly suggest finding the Top Gear bit on this car.

I'd rather have this though:

Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione

I was doing some reading up... seems that the diesel was not made available in Australia.

By far the 4 cylinder engines are the most common according to production numbers.

ehhh that flat line above the front wheel arches looks really odd IMHO. 8C looks way better.

And speaking of that Ferrari 312 on the last page, check out this classic Jeremy Clarkson vid about a fully operational MINIATURE 1/3 scale version!

Unfortunately the video quality is pretty bad. I don't think any higher quality versions exist.

*edit* NM different car, this is the 312PB. Still pretty amazing, though!

This is truth... so, can you cram a mint-condition Holden Crewman Cross 8 into a box and ship it to me?

Indeed. The fact that the only legit Honda Type R car ever sold in the US was the 97-01 Integra, is a pure tragedy. The newest Civic Type R is pretty friggen sweet, but as usual us Americans get the shaft.

This car was freakin' amazing in its day, and still is even today:

The EK9 Civic was pretty capable, as well, but never came here legally:

And of course the Holy Grail of all things Type ARRRRRR

DC5 Integra R (non-R versions sold as the RSX in the US), though I prefer the DC2 one shown above:

Soooo, you like Honda's do you That new Civic would be sweet to drive but the rear wing is going to far, if they just toned that down a bit. An NSX would be awesome, a true classic.

The brake drums on the Le Mans 300SL were mounted inboard for better weight distribution and to reduce the unsprung weight. Of course sticking them right behind the radiators can't have helped with cooling. That's why they used an airbrake on 300SLRs.

Citroen DS, GS, 2Cvs have inboard front brakes. Of course they are all front wheel drive.

My Sprint has inboard brakes on the side of the gearbox. As said it reduces unsprung weight and centralizes weight for better handling.
