I actually don't mind the looks at all. It would just be highly limiting here competition-wise and I think they're overrated.

Still though, where I am I'd get a lot more competition miles out of an STI.

To each their own. I'm not saying the WRX is a bad car. Just very different from the Elise. Muscle car (albeit one that can turn) vs. sports car.

Of course. The complete lack of a local road course means that we here have four choices: stock cars, autocross, drag racing, or a week long, closed road pavement rally. Drag racing is boring, autocross is a little less so and you need a dedicated car for stock car racing. You can hurtle the Subie down the concrete cow trails that pass for roads here at 90mph a little more comfortably, even if you give up flickability on the smooth slab. Plus, you can have dogs and bikes and still only one car with the Subaru. And it's still a pretty sharp steering car.

(Bear with me, I'm a reforming muscle car enthusiast...)

Nice long roofline for carrying bikes, room for luggage and passengers, great handling. Yeah, I would so rock that.

I wish that Porsche (is it real, or a Photoshop?) didn't have that same stupid "No, really, it's not a station wagon!" design as the Dodge Magnum, where the beltline goes way up in the back as the roofline dips way down. That's the only thing ruining an otherwise nice design for a full-size VW wagon (since it's not a Porsche).

At least it doesn't have BMW's "WE'RE SO GODDAMN AGGRO IT ****ING HURTS" styling or Mercedes' "No matter it looks like, you'll buy it because it's a Mercedes" apathy.

The wagon is a photoshop study. I'm with WB, I'd actually rock that too.
The sedan is a shame study.

This is the Porsche Panamera. This is the car that will actually be built.

It's not often I agree with X, but in this case, I am preparing a special place with the hottest fire and the fumiest of brimstone around....specifically for these people.

I was all about hating the Panamera up until I got to see videos of it. In still photos, and especially in the terrible colors that most of the press cars had, it just didn't have a single good angle, at least apart from low down in front where you can't see the rest of the body anyway.

In motion, and in a better color, it's really not bad, IMO. I can imagine seeing one in every country club parking lot. Road & Track magazine is calling it "Your first Porsche", with the reasoning that after you've built up enough cash to buy one, you probably also have a family to drive around, and the Panamera makes more sense than the usual small Porsche sportster:

Now for something even more confusing than a four-door Porsche -- a Aston Martin micro city car, which is just a rebadged and retrimmed Toyota iQ:

Going out on a limb here, but I really like the looks of my current car. In the hatchback version, some people call it "The Korean Saab" but I call it a Hyundai Elantra hatch

Honestly, I'm not too much of a fan of them. But it is a gorgeous car. Took me a while to get that shot too. Too many damned people were crowding it.

Course, I wouldn't want the car myself.

To be honest though, I personally think that the Jaguar XJ-220 is the most beautiful car in existence. (Just needs better wheels)
