My Honda can do this as it originally came from the factory. 94-01 Integras and 92-00 Civics in particular (maybe other models, too, not sure) have the hood that can go all the way straight up. The hood prop was a little short thing on the side near the base of the hood, and there's a second hole in the hood for the prop that will hold it straight up. We used to call it "The Honda Hole" Sure makes working in the engine bay a LOT easier. I once pulled out my entire engine/gearbox without even having to remove the hood.
