That is almost insane enough to be brilliant. The emphasis on ALMOST cannot be stressed enough in my previous sentence.

    Magnolia Special
Garage built, burns natural gas, gets 30+ mpg, has a 600 mile range, and is powered by a Jaguar engine.

All English wheel metal, no plastic.

He hand cast all of the detail parts too.

No markings on the dials. One should know what they are without being told.

Leno has a long bit on it on his website.

You ever see that episode of Top Gear where they drive a 190, an M3, and Sierra Cogsworth across Germany, James May is always putting the 190 into revers because of the dog leg gearbox.

Glasspar G1, a modified version of this car was called the Alembic 1. Harley Earl's son's saw it at an exposition and liked it and thus the Corvette was born. The only reason the Alembic was built was due to a resin shortage from the supplier that Glasspar was using. A new supplier sold Glasspar a new resin and requested one of the Glasspar kits to make a car for promotional use to show the versatility of plastics in making car bodies. That car was the Albemic 1. The rest is history.

A very cool website to go play around on.

    http://www.forgottenfiberglass.com/

Shows tons of the kit cars of the 40s - 60s like the Kurtis and the Victress and others.

Some might say this one is downright ugly, and I might even agree with them. But I sure would enjoy driving one!

At a certain point, ugly becomes cool or lovable, which explains bulldogs and pugs, the BMW 2002 and that thing above, sorta.

This won't rust, and because it's a 1963 Corvette under that lithe bodywork it's quite fast too!

It's known as the Pinninfarina Corvette Rondine.

Yeah, I posted a Peugeot, but really any group B related car is pretty much awesome. And the 959 is just the Holy Grail in general.

My great great aunt had an all-original 1963 Beetle up until her death in '97. Tan, tan interior, three-speed, AM radio (I think). She had the seats recovered at some point in the early 90's with the same fabric. It was fun to watch her row that stick up the hill from her mobile home park to our house. It's a good thing the speed limit up the hill was 25 at the time, because that Beetle could not have gone any faster, and I am not sure it could keep that speed. I still smile when I see uncustomized Beetles running around.

Take a guess what's under there. Coming out in 2013. I say it's ugly, my son wants it.
