And so the endless stream of compromises begins, both of you faking it a little right off the bat. I love seeing it happen to other people, in the same way Funniest Home Videos is funny when a kid punches his dad in the nuts.

So, you're thinking of lying to her to get some nookie? Dumb thing to do, especially since you're both still kids. Keep life honest; it'll be alot easier. Maybe she has a skanky friend who doesn't need to hear a lie....

First of all, OP, thanks for making me laugh. There is something so ridiculous about your initial proposed solution -- "should I start liking her now?" -- that now the guy one office over is wondering what's up.

I really am curious to know the story behind this, though... were you just caught up in the mood and told a big fat lie to the poor girl? Was someone holding a gun to your head? Give us some details as to how you accomplished this.

Seriously, I'm not mocking you or anything, I know how this **** goes sometimes.

She told me she liked me at the end of the last period of the last day of school

I didn't have time to think, it was literally like .5 seconds until she said "find me on Myspace later"

She asked me if I liked her later on Myspace, I told her the answer she wanted.

Well, she is nice. What do I do?

Dude, if you don't like her then you don't like her, and you have absolutely no nothing to gain by putting up this act any further.

If it's her feelings that you're worried about, that's certainly considerate of you but I suggest you slowly back out of your statement starting now and make it clear over time the way you really feel.

On the other hand, if she's "nice" and there is something else about her that made you tell her you like her and you don't want to admit it to yourself, then go on with your bad-ass self and bust a move. Preferably in the real world, not on myspace. Seriously, **** myspace dude.

Be honest with her and don't waste time for the both of you. You can't force yourself to like someone. That is something that should come naturally.

Are you condoning the practice of underage drinking?

Yeah I get pretty friendly when I drink too. But I still wouldn't pretend to "like" a person when I am sober and lead them on into something I don't want to be in.

OK, the serious advice is go on a date, see if you have any interests in common, see if you enjoy each other's company. It's called dating.

dating at 15 sucks if you can't drive... does this girl ride? if so, +10 points.

p.s. by "ride" i mean ride bicycles.

+1. At 15 I didn't realize it either, but it is perfectly okay to date someone that you're not too sure about. Just be honest with her up front. If there is ever a need to clarify, tell her by "like" you meant that she seems cool and you'd like to get to know her better.

You need to stay far away from the girls until you can answer this question for yourself.
