I hate eCards

I despise e-cards (electronic greeting cards). However, I occasionally get them from people. How do I tell them to stop w/o hurting their feelings? I appreciate the gesture, I just want to discourage people from sending them.

(Note, I am not talking about evites -- that's different, I like those.)

I hate e-cards. Why not be more blunt, include an installer and say in the text, "here is a rootkit and botnet, install this crap, so some guy in a shack in Elbonia can get your personal info and sell it."

From people I know, I reply in no uncertain terms that they are not wanted.

I'm with you on evites though. Those rock. =)

Good! I'm glad I'm not alone on this! I was afraid I would come across as bitter and cantankerous.

I dislike them, too. But its usually mother artifice sending them, so there isn't much I can do.
I can say I've been guilty of sending the occasional ecard as well...

My MIL used to send them on my b-day, now she sends nothing. Still don't know what I did to p*$$ her off
