    You're right. Nothing to discuss.

But why is it so much more fun?

We hit the gym the other night and played it for the first time. It's like the simpler, better version of tennis, and it's hard to lose the ball.

It's faster, too. Pro r-ball players serve upwards of 200mph. If you've never seen a nationals open match (pro level), it's something to behold. Unbelievable displays of reaction time, speed, and precision. I played for many years starting in college. Once you have been taught the proper stroke mechanics (it's not a tennis swing), and have had a few years to develop it, it's a very satisfying activity just to hit the ball. It's fun for beginners, too.

No loss of balls, able to be a year-round sport (PNW = gray/drizzly all year, so this is important for me; unfortunately it also means little/no airflow), it involves blue, powershots are encouraged, and when one person sucks, the game generally turns to screw-around for both as opposed to ball-chasing for the non-suck person. That and the cool, "WHOCK!" noise.

I want to try racquetball again. I do remember it being very fun.

We tried to play tennis the other day, but it was just too hot outside! Kind of hard to enjoy the game when you almost die of heat exhaustion.

Might have to wave the BS flag there. I'm doubting the 200mph figure.

I think I enjoy racquetball so much because it's faster, it's much more 3-dimensional, and things are happening in all 360 degrees around you. Great game.

Raquetball is ten times better than tennis. Always have to be right on top every second.

Squash > Raquetball > Tennis > Badminton > Golf > Sitting on your 'erse.

But squash rules the world. I still look back on the destruction of my left shoulder with a) regret, and b) Pride.

    I'm odd that way...

Not sure about the speed, but I used to play or try to play with a guy that could break the ball.

Egan Inoue holds the record at 191mph
