    Country Music = Pregnancy?

    This is too funny.

Pregnancies jump after Grand Junction festival
    The Associated Press

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Whether it's something in the water or the grooving sounds of country music, the aftermath of what one health officials calls Grand Junction's "Woodstock" drives up pregnancies in this city each year.

Nurse-Family Partnership supervisor Wanda Scott says referrals to her agency from the Mesa County Health Department quadruple every year after the music festival Country Jam. Scott told commissioners about the phenomena Monday during a presentation called, "How are the Children?"

Scott says on average the health clinic sees between 25 to 30 pregnancies a month. She says five weeks after the festival that number jumps to almost 80 a month.

The festival ran from June 26-29. Performers included Tim McGraw, Clay Walker and Sugarland.

Hey Baby, the crappy country music festival is back, let's close the windows, and just stay in and screw tonight.

Waaa-eellllllll, while I'm a fan of alternative music ---- as I was flicking thru the tv channels the other night I must have crossed the country channel and SOMETHING, er, SOMEONE caught my full attention ----- Lordy what a looooooow voice!!!!!!

So, I guess I need to update my "hitting on" requirements.

Wink, blow kisses to me from across the bar, wave a nice bottle of scotch around like a tease and have a voice like a bass baritone and I'd follow you home in a heartbeat.

I'm not surprised. I attended Country Fest for 2 years while in college (for the record, I dislike country music, but the festival was the "thing to do" when you go to college in WI- plus the BF subsidized part of the ticket to get me to go) anywhoo... I'll attest that 5 days drinking in the sun wearing nothing but a swimsuit... yeah, baby making practice will happen. Thats the thing though, you should just be practicing, not actually making em.

I'm pretty sure that the pregnancy rate jumps no matter where Tim McGraw goes. That guy is a stud, what with the blood of a major leaguer coursing through his veins.

I guess I misread the article. I didn't actually realize it was Tim McGraw making all those babies...

What a terrible thing to be conceived to.

Playing classical music for unborn children is supposed to make them smarter. I shudder to think what doing the same thing with country music would do.

Was she borned in prison or on a train?

As a husband who's being overloaded with country music during wife's redneckness phase, I report no changes in the friskiness patterns. So a -1 for the music being the catalyst. It should be that Tim dude.

These people reproduce more for a reason, because while some children are going to piano lessons or to the library, these folks are winning Darwin Awards simultaneously taking LSD and riding crotch rockets, (those commemorative flower arrangements you see at blind curves and at four way stops, the ones that have Bart Simpson wearing a #8 t-shirt and hanging from a cross? That's them.)
