Gremlin

Vega (although my ex-husband had one built to the hilt with a big blower on it - that he raced - had a nice red/white/blue chevy emblem painted on the back of a nice trick blue paint job)

Yugo

Here's a better view of the SLR. It's hideous.

Here's a little-known ugly car. The original Datsun 200SX ('75-'79). I remember when I was a kid I thought this thing was so ugly.

Chevy Citation...the beast of the breakdown lane.
At least with a Chevette, you had that great pick up line you could use "I have a vette, wanna ride in it?"

one of my teachers had a chevette he used to just call his 'vette. We didn't realize it was actually a chevette for quite a while.

The SLR is indeed quite ugly. I can't get past the giant nose built into the hood, or the massive gills on the side. Plus, the proportions are all wrong. Cars with long hoods can look good, but the SLR has the fail.

Take my analysis with a grain of salt, though, since I think about 95% of cars made in the last 20+ years are anywhere from dreadfully boring and devoid of style to unfathomably ugly.

I have to include a motorcycle. When the '98 Honda Superhawk came out I really wanted to like it, but the design is a complete mess.

BMW Z4

One of the infamous Chris Bangle ugly cars. Honestly, look at the lines; they go all over the place. No continuty. What a mess!

Subara Imprezza

What an ugly front end.

Subara Tribeca

Granted it's an SUV and SUVs are naturally ugly, but this takes the "uglier than a toad" award for sure.
