10% more than I'm making now
Well, now you can get a puppy (and save up you $ for the inevitable fall into chaos or world is heading for; you've been warned).
It all comes down to financing.

My current company is about 5 employees. I've been there two years and have seen growth, but not a significant amount. I manage a few contract people as-needed now but the lack of opportunity is the reason I would want to move.

Its a larger company, 60-70 and a new position for them. I'm coming in doing about 1/5 of what I do in my current job and specializing in it. The company just purchased the division I'll be working in about a year ago- to me, that says its going somewhere.

Hard to tell. My industry is a little murky when it comes to defining advancement , but frankly I'm feeling a little stifled at my current company so I figure if I can go somewhere not only with better pay (and even a little hint of room for advancement) that is more fun, I win.

ie. Indicate to the new employer (assuming you get an offer) that you need a month to tie up loose ends and help train your replacement. Likewise, indicate to the current employer that you didn't want to exercise your obligated 2-weeks notice, but rather that you negotiated a full month to do a proper handover.

    Good luck.
Thanks! Yeah, I was thinking something similar:
Give 2 week notice to current job.
After, be available to current job as a contract employee (limited to 15 hrs/wk or something) until they find someone new. (I've been wanting to free-lance anyway, here's my chance!)
Arrange with new employer a week off to train replacement at the old job once found.

Yeah, regardless of whether its this job or another one that walks along, I'm definitely in the market for something new.
My background is in web design, but I also do graphic & print design, branding/identity. The position I'm going for at this company is in the email marketing division, so its a mix of design, programming, and marketing consulting.

You date the wrong type of guys. There are a bunch of us who are emotionally unavailable. Like a rock...
