Space cake!

I have my doubts, but this looks pretty cool.

It's ok. Something about the microwave makes it taste like it was developed by a MIT physics undergrad though.

Cool. Honestly. I'm going to send this to someone. They'd really appreciate it. They have been looking for a microwave cake recipe for the last few months and nobody can find one. The group of us actually had a contest to see who can find one first. I think the others forgot about it so I am now officially the winner. This is perfect!

Thank you, Goobers - in a weird sorta way.

Pretty cool. But when I read the title I thought you were referring to a dessert bar served in some Amsterdam cafes.

Tried it last night. Works great. Our microwave is not too powerful, so it took 3-1/2 min to cook. The texture is just a bit rubbery/eggy, but not too bad--I've had worse cake for dessert at restaurants. We didn't have regular milk, but the recipe works just fine with soy; wife has a gluten allergy, so we used buckwheat flour instead. Next mods will be cutting down some of the sugar and using yogurt in place of milk. There is nothing faster to slake a cake craving...

I used to like microwave scrambled eggs, primarily for the weird texture.

did you put ketchup on them and maybe a feather on the side of the plate? The looks on people's faces is priceless when you do something like tha.

Hey, if you want a space space cake, it's just a matter of adding one more ingredient. Not sure how it would take to microwaves, but that's what science is for.
