please pray my friend kyle. he got struck by a car Friday night, and might not live too long.

I'm too drunk to explain, but he still needs our help.

he was a designated driver for some friends. He pulled over to allow a friend to vomit and was rear-ended by a drunk driver. Kyle has suffered a brain stem injury. from what I was told there's very little chance of recovery.

I'll have more details after I get home from work this afternoon.

Thanks for everyone's concern.

My strongish wishes right now are with your friend - that he is given the chance pull through, and can recover fully from this.

He is still with us?

Man, I'm very sorry to hear that. I wish I could be optimistic but from what I understand brain stem injuries are very serious. I'll be hoping for a miracle though.

It seems that the diagnosis of a brain stem injury was way off, or by the time it got to me, I was misinformed.

this morning I got a call from Kyle's dad, and he said that Kyle would call me later this week. He did sustain some facial fractures, many cuts, and was unconscious for almost 36 hours, but he's now awake and doing well. They're not sure if he'll have any permanent brain damage, but when he awoke he asked for his dad, and asked him for some water.

The girl that was in the front seat needed to have her foot reattached and will have her knee on the other leg reconstruced.

the 2 guys in the back seat were held for observation, and released this morning.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I've never been a big-time bible thumper, but I can't help but think that it helped somehow.

I'm glad there was a bit of the telephone game going on. I hope he starts feeling better soon, and the same with the passengers.

Most excellent.

Hope all involved heal up quickly...

A group of us at the marina(Kyle has a boat here)called him at the hospital in Kalamazoo. He never knew how much we all love him.

I'm so happy to hear that he's getting better. His dad said that he could be released as soon as Tuesday.

I know this sounds sh***, but as a man that lost his fiance to a drunk driver on may 15 1993, I don't care at all.
