Car got stolen

The next door neighbor's car got stolen (apartment complex). Does anyone have any helpful advice I could give her?

File a police report, then call insurance company.

Unfortunately, in some areas the cops don't even investigate car thefts. She should report file a report and make a claim, but the odds don't favor her.

The other bad news is that an insurance settlement often doesn't allow you to get a car as good as the one that you had (particularly if it was fully depreciated). It might not be a bad time to take up cycling...

Maybe snap a couple photos of where the car was parked? Ice cube's chance in Hell it would help, but you never know.

Ride a bike?

call the cops file a report do you know what kind of car it was the more common it is the more difficult it will be to find it since they end up parted out faster and or torched

Been there.

Hope she has more than liability insurance.
Cops are going to put about as much effort in the case as they would for a stolen bike, sorry.

Have her check with the complex about their insurance. If there is a gate, she might have a (slim) chance collecting from them.
