Ever wanna Own a Castle?

Castle on 15 acres of solid woods (Sedgwick, Kansas) $220000

This Castle has over 7000 sq ft of space that includes a full size racquet ball court and a three car garage. It has 5 large bedrooms (master is 25x25 not including a 6x9 walk in closet or the full bath). There are 2 1/2 baths. It has a septic tank and well water with a very expensive water treatment system that is self cleaning--just add salt each month. There are lots of deer, turkey, quail, pheasant, rabbit, squirrel, and the occassional coyote that roam the woods. If you have always wanted to live in a castle, this is your opportunity to own a unique property that gets LOTS of attention and has extraordinary potential. The price is FIRM at 220K...serious inquiries only!

This is on Wichita Craigslist (Fri).......If I had the Cash/Credit I would be on this in a Minute !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some guy near here built a fake castle, and quite a bit smaller than the one you pictured. I'll have to take a pic of it next time I drive past.

A stone mansion on fifteen acres of land, for only $220k? "Location, location, location" must be incredibly true.

I see no mention of a "grail shaped beacon" in the ad. Do not want.

I only wanted to live in a castle when I was going through my princess stage. About 3-5 years old I think? Then I went straight to tomboy phase. I don't think I've quite grown out of that one.

Hey if it's like a real castle it's probably not wired.

Pretty ugly looking castle. If i was rich, i'd buy at a large sized plot of land (to be able to hunt out of sight of the castle) and build a classic looking English/Scottish Castle. If done correctly, the thick stone walls and small windows will keep it relatively cool. Of course, for the winter, i'd be sure to surround myself with numerous wenches to keep myself warm. Ah...if only i was rich!

I know a guy down here who actually owned a sizable castle, complete. He was planning on living it after retirement. Then, this guy shows up and asks how much for the castle. He says, don't want to sell - well to make a long story short, after being bothered by the guy for two years, he set a crazy amount so he would go away.

And the guy bought it. So, he was stuck following through on the agreement. But, he isn't complaining...

There is a house in Between that has about the same footprint as mine.
However it is made from granite out of the Between quarry (same rock as Stone Mountain) inside and out. The walls are twenty inches thick. All of them.
Most of the interior walls have been plastered, so it does not look like you are walking into a cave (I personally would expose the rock on some of the interior) but it has the same chill. Dead quiet in there too, even though it is right up next to the road.

A tornado would not stand a chance against it. I don't think an RPG would.

I would LOVE to buy that place

I would buy it, then buy more land around it and start my own village.
