I would post mine but they take that corporate confidentiality thing really seriously. It's not very different from the OP's desk tho.

Not technically my office (which is really quite a mess), but I thought this was pretty cool. I work at a steel mill, and today we melted over 12,000 weapons confiscated by LA county sheriffs. We are California's largest ferrous recycler, and this weapons program is called Project Isaiah, after Isaiah 2:4, "They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks."

Here's some of the booty, along with our awesome electric arc furnace.

There were some really nice rifles and shotguns melted. Also nasty stuff like AK-15s, Uzis, bazookas, clubs with spikes, Desert Eagles, etc. California law states that all confiscated weapons must be destroyed.

How about the view from the office? Not from MY window of course....actually no employee's have this view from their office but its just a few steps away and a nice distraction from the computer screen.

I've posted these pics of my workplace before, but what the heck... here they are again. Yes, we grad students lead a tough life.

*slaps forehead* D'oh! Not a huge gun nut, but I sure hate seeing nice stuff going to waste. Plus, I have visions of swimming through the pile a la Scrooge McDuck.

Heh, beats the view from any of the windows at my office. Industrial complex as far as the eye can see (which isn't very far, what with other industrial complexes in the way...).

JASON!!! What the heck?!? Okay, I realize the ocean may not technically be a part of your office, but come on. You have one of the best views of the ocean right outside your office window! I'm disappointed in you. (Those pics bring back memories of my visit to San Diego, by the way, so I'm absolutely adamant that you post pics of that ocean view. )

It sure is a nice view, isn't it? The golf course in the foreground is Torrey Pines, where the US Open was recently played. The first fairway as viewed from my office is the 9th. The next one's the 15th, and that bunker on the left side of the picture is where Tiger Woods hit that amazing second shot on the Monday playoff round.

With a big round of writing ahead of me, I'm spending more time near that wonderful window view.

I'll try to take a better one sometime. Since I'll be doing a postdoc stint in the same office, there's still time.

Excellent question, Mr. Bubbles. I don't commute much- my bike is always in tow in the back of my hatchback. Most days I'm headed somewhere around town after work to do some riding, or at least have it with in case an opportunity pops up.

So does that mean you are always wearing cycling shorts, or do you keep those in the cage as well?
