This vs this.

What's the deal with the difference in securing the watch?
The first link you posted is modeled after a Zulu type strap not a NATO type strap. The first strap, you just slide the end of the strap through the watch to secure. There isn't really anything to hold the watch in place so it may slide up and down along the strap. The Nato strap has a second section of webbing that is slid into pace after the strap is fed through the watch to keep it in place. Both these straps were designed to be used with military watches that were built with fixed lugs preventing the use of a standard strap. The first image shows the extra piece of webbing that I'm talking about. The second shows the ring at the end of the webbing that holds the watch in place.

It's funny this topic came up. Everyone here knows me from my bicycle brand, but some of you know of my watch designs as well. I started this brand about a year ago:

www.movaswatches.com

Here are pictures of the latest watch that I finished designing. It's a dive watch and will come in 6 different variations:

And yes, I have a couple of watches bike like bikes, I guess I gotta be seen wearing my own designs..

This is my daily watch. Made by Citizen. I also have a Seiko that's kinda cheap, but it's simplistic and slightly elegant design allow me to use it as my dress watch. I don't feel like hunting down a photo of it >.>

Incorrect.

Panerai's Radiomir has the second hand at the 9 o'clock and no energy reserve indicator. Crown is similar, but the case is more squared than the radiomir.

Yep, I have the exact same watch and I sometimes forget to take it off while riding. I had a Submariner some years ago but it seemed like everyone had one so I went with the Seamaster.

I don't get what all the fuss is with these expensive watches. So what? You have money. And can buy an ultra-expensive watch. Big deal. Who cares? You think you are going to pick up some chick because she sees you have on a nice watch? I don't think so.
