Per Shadiyah's request: the happiest song in the world!

Slight hyperbole, maybe. But I decided this past weekend to make a happy song, and this is what came out. The rule for writing lyrics was "if it vaguely rhymes and sounds happy, it goes in."

Shadiyah asked me to post it, so here it is:

On the mountaintop (3.6MB MP3)

Not that thrilled with some of the vocals, but it works well enough so I'm just going to leave it as is.

Hope that some of you enjoy it / are momentarily entertained by it / derive some kind of mirth from it if you hate it

Now, off to bed.

Wow. Thanks, Goobers for sharing that with us. This is REALLY a happy song!! I really love it!

I can't carry a tune in a basket so one guy making all that by himself impresses me. Is it Top 40 stuff, probably not, but it is far superior to anything that I could ever do.

It will not be included in the annoying party songs of all times. This playlist includes... "Shiny Happy People", "Don't Worry, Be Happy", "I Want Candy", "Macarana", and "I'm too sexy".

I sing folk and sailing songs rather well. The two people who've heard me sing have really enjoyed it.

Im glad you guys like it but its really nothing Id listen to kinda sounds like a gospel song, like an ode to Jesus or Moses or something.

I like them, but they seem to attract excessive criticism.
On some level, I can see it. He got the girl, he can stop singing about unrequited love...

but still...
