If any, what kind(s) of dancing do you do?

During a rest stop on a ride this morning a lady said something about dancing. I tossed in a comment that I had experience in several kinds of dance including five years of Adult Ballet. Whoosh, that woman was a fanatic. Inch by inch she determined each place I had taken Class and with whom. As we got ready to hit the road again she was advising me which teacher to start studying with again and how much they needed adult men. Yea Verily, if I had known as a teen what I know now.

So what do any of you do? Salsa, ballroom, Tango, Cumbia, Tap, Shoddish (sp), exotic - as in African Gum Boot dancing, etc, etc.

My mother was a professional ballerina before I existed ... alas, I don't dance at all (unless you consider tiptoeing around hard work to be "dancing" )

I use kata from one martial art I learned that isn't immediately recognizable as martial arts forms and call it goth dancing.

I'm actually talented at dance but I was so nervous when it has happened that I don't. I took country dance lessons (yes it is dancing) and did very well but stopped. I went to a Humboldt Folklife Society festival and they had Celtic/Irish dance lessons and I planned on jumping in but I got so scared I left and headed home.

So, no I don't dance but I play in the band.

I have had a desire to dance for years but can't get past the idea. Fire away gridley.

Steven

Ahem.

Joe and I also took a few lessons in Cha Cha, Swing and Salsa. I loved them all and would love to take more of them.
