The "Yes, but..." thread

Improv studios often use an approach in their classes that involves a person making a statement, and someone else adding "Yes, but XYZ", to (hopefully) great comic effect.

For (bad) example:

Person 1: "I met the Duke and Duchess of York today."

Person 2: "Yes, but did you know that they are actually brother and sister?"


Alternately, you may substitute "Yes, and..." if better suited.

Who's game? I'll start.

I pulled a groin muscle helping an old lady across the street today.
