Should I eat a burger?

What are the pros? What are the cons?

Pro- possibly tasty?

Con- could make me feel ill for a while

EDIT: I'm a veggie and haven't had a burger in like 10 years.

If a burger makes you feel ill, you are deader to me than you were before I read that. Of course you should eat a burger, enough with the silly talk already.

Send your morals to me via UPS. If they are not broken by that, you are safe from temptation.

Oh, and I did not realize you did not partake of delicious tasting animals. If that is the case, no, do not have a burger.

I had a veggie burger yesterday.

If you want to eat one, then eat one. But if you're going to feel guilty about it afterward, then do you think it would be worth it?

Friend of my nephew started the 'cube of power.' if you're going to eat one, you might as well get certified.
http://www.cubeofpower.com/
cube of power [kyoob uhv pou-er] - noun.
1. Nine square quarter-pounder, fresh, never frozen patties stacked to form a solid structure of meat with six equal sides that gives special powers to its consumer.

boca burger ftw?

It's meatish and totally satisfying buried under cheese, avocado, fresh tomato, and onion.

If you're not used to eating meat it probably will make your stomach a little upset at first. Plus, your ambivalence will probably make you queasy.

When I went vegetarian for a month, the first meat meal afterwards felt VERY heavy. If you want a burger, get a teeny one. White Castle, maybe.

Not completely true. Once you stop eating red meat you stop producing the necessary enzymes and acids needed to break down these materials efficiently. I have not eaten red meats in ~14 years. I actually stopped eating it because when I went to college I had to make the decision if I was going to eat meat and not drink or eat Ramen noodles and drink. I was a poor college student. You can see what won that battle. When I tried red meat again after this hiatus (think first Christmas home) it hurt my stomach so bad that I just gave it up all together. I have not really craved it since. If I would eat any right now I would be double over in pain within an hour because my body wouldn't be able to digest it. I still eat birds and fish as well as a largely vegetarian diet, but when I have eaten chix that has been cooked with or near red meat I have had issues. The last time this happened was when I was in philly eating a chix cheese steak and they cooked my chix on the flat top right next to the beef cheese steaks. It tasted great, but I had to pay because of it.

PETA - People Eating Tasty Animals.

BTW: I would go with the 89 cent Cheesy Double beef burrito or the 99 cent 1/2 lb cheesy bean and rice burrito at Taco Bell. A couple of these fills me up real cheap.

Go for it. Support organic farmers, buy organic beef and organic cheese. Then make yourself the most kickass cheeseburger in the history of cheeseburgers, knowing that you've helped a small business and increased demand for organic animal products.

Also, burgers are yummy.

Yes, but do it right. Don't get an E. Coli burger at McWendyKing. Go to a real butcher and have him grind some sirloin. Ideally, it will be from a grass-fed steer raised by a local FFA or 4H kid. Grill it up on an open flame. Fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and onions from the farmers' market. Good cheese and a fresh bun.

[edit: girljen beat me to it.]
