Anyone out there have one of those visco-elastic foam (sometimes called memory foam) beds like the Tempurpedic bed or one of those visco-elastic foam toppers?
It's that type of foam that molds to your body as it reacts to your body heat.
-Do they make you hot while sleeping on them?
-Are they really that comfortable?
-Can you use a visco-elastic topper on the floor or a large board and get the same night sleep you'd get if it were on a mattress?
-Some of those beds and toppers have cells imprinted on them creating varying levels of "support" (less for the head, more for the torso). Does that really work?
-Anyone know where one can buy a mattress sized piece of this foam? Maybe a textile company that sells to one of these mattress companies? I don't feel like paying hundreds of dollars on a piece of foam if you can get the same comfort from the raw material.
-I know this isn't exactly a bed or foam related site. Anyone know where I can ask these questions and get un-biased answers?
