Between turns 100 tomorrow

They've cordoned off part of the convenience store parking lot for the all day (10-2) festivities and everything.

If everyone in town shows, we won't quite reach the seating capacity of your average sized Mickey D's.

They have never come up with a good response to the "Red Dawn" defense, so they are steering clear.

Just found out my best friend's grandmother, Besse Cooper, is going to be speaking at the festival.
She is the 23rd oldest person on the planet--111 or 112 years old.
She was in her 30's before she had electricity, in her 20's before she saw a car. We are all whimps. We have all lived pampered lives.

We had 5 times our population come out to attend the centennial.
Mrs. Cooper spoke, couldn't understand a word. I did find out the way they settled here was she and her family they left Tennessee in 1899, they did so via raft and canoe. This is as far south as they could drag the raft down the Alcovy river, so that's where they built their house.
