Tomatoes are ready

I just picked two ripe tomatoes from one of the plants in my back yard. Sliced them up and stacked them about an inch high on a fresh roll. Then poured a little Thousand Island dressing on top.

OUTSTANDING I highly recommend it.

A lot of people look at me funny when I order only veggies on my sandwiches and then don't believe me when I tell them it tastes GREAT.

Too bad, they have no idea what they are missing.

Heirloom tomatoes are the best. There's varieties from tiny to huge, and colors from striped, pink, yellow, orange, red, and purple.

I have two Brandywine plants this year.

Yep... mine too. Incredible, I wait all year for them.
A good crop this year, I have many varieties.
I just had a Ramapo (a Jersey Heirloom) with some grainy bread and cheese.

from the Garden State!

I'm a vegetarian now. Not a strict vegetarian, because I eat beef and pork...and chicken, but not fish because that's disgusting!

Mine are kicking butt this year too. Looks like the little yellow pear tomatoes will be ready in very short order, as well!
