Office to Cubicle

I'm being moved from my big office to a small cubicle today. I'm going to be among the general population at work, I feel violated.

Put a roof on your cubicle and call it an office.

If you were a suit this morning we (the general population) will never accept you. No worries. Hey, you know what a shank is?

Cubes are bearable, as long as people can't constantly peer over your shoulder or you aren't next to a busy walkway.

Why would people pee over your shoulder?

Grab the closest engineer and beat the snot out of him, and make sure everyone sees you do it. As a former office dweller you've got no crew out in the cubicle gen-pop. Your only hope is to prove your strength and make people fear you.

Some cubical have the option of a sliding door. This helps ease the transition to part of the cubie hivemind.

I just popped my head up over my cubicle to see if hos13 was abandoning an office here... I don't think he is a coworker of mine... I also didn't see anyone else prairie dogging. Anyone else?

hows the cubicle?

I'd recommend investing in a door.

If you can't get one of the good ones, you could always fashion one of your own.

dude, that sucks. a friend of mine just got moved to a cube after getting an office. he felt downgraded in more ways than one.

i, myself, just moved from a huge open area with 8 other people to my own cube, so i'm relatively happy. now i'm on BF all the time.

when i was out with the masses i hated my cubicle. despite being in a low traffic area someone would always pop around the corner just as i had my finger lodged up my nose. hated it. later.

Yea, I jsut voluntary moved from a great office over looking the river, lots of birds and wildlife and stuff to an office in the basement. Dunno what I was thinking, except I now have more room for my bike. Sweet,

This is my cubicle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. It is my life. I must master my cubicle as I master life. My cubicle, without me, is useless.

(My cubicle is not my best friend. I left that part out on purpose.)
