Mixing Red and White Wine

Is mixing red and white wine bad?

Last nite I had one glass of red (Lackey - Shiraz) followed by one glass of white (Marlbourough, Sauvignon Blanc). Had a bad night and couldn't sleep a wink.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't because you drank both colours of wine.

alcohol - especially wine (for me at least) - really f's with your sleep. It was the booze not the fact that you mixed the two. What helps is taking some ibuprofen and a couple glasses of water before you go to bed.

alcohol and the sugar in such beverages suppress REM sleep and
can also induce insomnia.

The components of red wine do not react well with the ingredients in whites. It is sacrilege to think of mixing the two. Acids neutralize bases, cats and dogs living together, murky sludge settling to the bottom of the bottle. I work at a winery, trust me.

Your only issue is the fact that you drank wine. Toss it and get a decent beer. Problem solved.
