Post your favorite signs!

I just love signs... I'm always snapping pics of interesting ones when I'm out and about, and they can really funny taken out of context...

Artifice - I have seen those before in other places, such as Iowa. We also have speed hump signs all over Sacramento's residential neighborhoods.

it should read... "Finished for today"

where as...
Japan = 日本
today = 本日

There's this nasty, decreasing radius, off-camber turn on a fast descending road in the Bay area somewhere around Page Mill Road... Altamont, maybe? I forget. Anyway, a sign has been put up specifically warning cyclists of the turn. It's pretty neat that it's there, but it's such a bizarre sight that it can be easy to get distracted by it.

I should take a picture next time I'm out that way.

From London, it's a bit hard to make this out, but I really got a kick out of the fact that Hendrix lived next door to Handel.

Yeah, that's pretty close, I think. I remember being struck by the fact that that particular piece of road-sign-clipart even existed.

...in middle-of-nowhere Nevada, apparently.

I wasn't quick enough with the camera, but last year in either Colorado or Kansas, I saw a billboard with a similar message to that one, right next to a billboard for a really generically named adult superstore (probably called "Adult Superstore"). Juxtapositional humor!

This is Speed Bump in Swedish and Finnish (we're a bilingual country, so both languages appear in traffic signs).

I'll get a picture the next time I am there, but we have a strip mall near us that has, as you enter, a stop sign, underneath which is a small rectangular sign that says "No Stopping or waiting". Oops.
