    This is embarassing.

I was at my counties' central library today. The most recent book on the Mac os was about panther (10.2)
and the most recent Photoshop book was purchased and tagged in 2003.

That is sad. Is there a college with a public reading room nearby?

Discount bookshops? I mean even if you catch a discounted book that is one version back from the version you're working with - you can - thru either the help screens or the website see what has been updated or changed. I've done that for more than a couple of software programs I have <cough> obtained.

I needed a change of pace. I have been coding a website for around ten hours and at point you want to get out of your chair get some sunlight and and physically hold a book after a riding your bike a little. plus I was on really like the government documents room and the microfiche rooms. they are BIG and dramatic and quiet and empty............

    and tude i like you

I've always had a soft spot for the newspaper room and the file cabinets stuffed with microfilms of old newspapers from around the world. Now and then I suddenly need to read the New York Times from 1903.

It seems most libraries take suggestions for books to add to their collection. It might take a while, but it could be worthwhile to look into that.
