I DON'T like Ike

Looks like I am in the possible path of Ike (Fort Myers). Anyone else here in the path? Got your preps ready?

Beware of the military-industrial complex.

Hope Ike loses steam. You have enough water down there now (finally).

The canals in my neighborhood are nearly full. I am more concerned about the wind though.

Does Orlando count as being in its path?

Hurricanes scare me. I have been in VERY close proximity to four tornadoes. Cannot image a tornado that lasts for hours on end.

Weird. The NOAA folks have the storm path going west of Florida, but the wind speed probability looks like the highest winds will be on the east side of the state.

Either way, looks like the east coast is in for a moist few days.

The tropical storm wind forecast that Second Mouse posted shows both Hannah (moving up east coast) and Ike (projected to move across Florida)

The path projection for Ike, shows only like.

Hope this clears things up.

Watch it veer into the Gulf and New Orleans. Wonder if Mayor Nagen can get everyone to evacuate town every other week.

We got all the rain we needed from Fay, so Ike can stay away. Our lakes went from bone dry to full, it's awesome.

Lake lanier is still 20 ft. below full pool. Lake Lanier feeds the Chattahoochee. The chattahoochee takes water down to your neck of the woods. N. GA could use the rain.

We are immune here in the Tampa Bay area, from a direct hit. Nothing to worry about here.
But then again we did have the No Name storm of 1993. But it wasn't a hurricane.

We have not taken a "hit" since '28.
